This activity provides resources meant to engage and inform students about the importance of teamwork in everyday life as well as academic life. Students will be shown a short video to spark a discussion about the benefits of working collaboratively with fellow peers to accomplish a goal. Students will communicate key ideas from their discussion using a digital tool selected by the teacher.

The teacher will use the attached Interactive Google Slide Presentation to introduce and explain to students the difference between the first and third-person points of view in literary texts. Within the Google Slide, there are examples of narrator vs. character point of view with the use of movie clips to introduce the topic. The Google Slides explain both points of view and allow for interactive practice as a whole group or small group to discuss the differences between the first and third-person points of view.

Students will build designs of desk arrangements in a classroom using counters or unifix cubes. Students must take 24 desks and divide them into equal groups to create a classroom desk arrangement. Students will write a multiplication and division equation for each arrangement. This will help students see the relationship between multiplication and division.
