Overview

Students will create an informative video presentation on a self-selected topic using Adobe Spark Video for a specific audience that includes links to sources used during the project. Students will collaborate with a partner to improve their video projects using a rubric.

This activity was created as the result of the ALEX Resource Development Summit.

Activity Details

Students will create an informative video presentation of their self-selected topic and a self-selected audience that includes links to resources using Adobe Spark Video.

Teacher will show an example Adobe Spark Video Slide Show to students.

Adobe Spark Video Research Project Step by Step Student Instructions:

Step 1: Go to Adobe Spark Video and log in with Google.

Step 2: Click the blue plus button at the top of the page.

Step 3: Choose Slide Show Video.

Step 4: Add your topic.

Step 5: Choose Show and Tell Template.

Step 6: Create a title slide. Include a picture.

Step: 7: Create at least 5 slides about your topic that include text and features.

Step 8: Create a Resources Slide with links to your resources.

Step 9: Add music.

Step 10: Preview and make adjustments to your slide show.

Step 11: Have your partner evaluate your slide show. Students will use a rubric to evaluate peers’ video projects.

Step 12: Make any necessary changes to your slide show video. Students will use the advice from the peer evaluation rubric to make improvements to the video project.

Step 13: Share your slide show video to the Google Classroom.
