Steve Trash teaches kids about science with fun and magic. The show is filmed in Alabama.

Soil is not dirt, it’s so much much more. Steve illustrates the value and importance of soil to all living things on Earth. Then, Steve helps shine a light on digital collaboration, a great way to work digitally with your friends to solve problems.

In the first half of the video, students will learn the properties of soil and about different types of soil. This can serve as background information on this topic before students perform their own investigations. In the second half of the video, Steve Trash describes how technology can help us become global collaborators. He will discuss proper behaviors and procedures to ensure appropriate digital collaboration.
