Overview

Students will refine their soccer skills by dribbling the soccer ball.  This lesson has three parts available.  First, students will dribble the soccer ball from one side of the gym to the other side of the gym while maintaining control of the ball.  Students will have several opportunities to dribble but they will also have time to watch their partners dribble by taking turns.  Second, using the same keywords and techniques as mentioned above students will attempt to dribble the ball with both feet while zigzagging through the cones. Last, following the plans from the first and second parts of this lesson, students will try to keep the ball away from their partner while also being very careful not to lose control of the ball or bump into any other soccer players.

This alignment results from the ALEX Health/PE COS Resource Alignment Summit.
