This free resource from ShareMyLesson is a football unit. This unit offers 10 lessons on throwing and catching a football, punting a football, how to pull flags, how to move into space playing keep away and playing small sided games of flag football. The unit was designed for 7th graders but could also be used for 6th or 8th graders. It has a group project to allow students to learn about football through research on the internet and creating a power point presentation to present to the class. The lessons allow plenty of time for students to practice and learn the skills and offers a game for the students that have achieved mastery of the skills. The unit plan does allow for a fitness or mile day and includes assessments for throwing, catching and punting a football. Note: This is a free resource, but teachers will need to create a free account to access the resource.
